Library cards are free to residents of Swayzee and Sims Township.
Non-resident cards cost $60 per year.
Student cards are available. Parents need to provide information when registering for the student cards.
PLAC (Public Library Access Cards) are available for $65 per year. This card allows access to all Indiana libraries. Patrons must have a Swayzee Public library card before a PLAC can be purchased.
Fines are accrued for late materials. Renewals may be made in-person or by phone. There is a limit to renewal of items acquired through Evergreen and those on hold for other patrons.
Internet/WiFi is available to patrons. Computers are available for use and MUST be used appropriately.
Black & White copies are ten cents per page; Color copies are 25 cents per page
Faxes are $1 per page, not counting the cover sheet
There is no limit to the number of books checked out per family. Patrons may keep books up to three weeks.
DVDs may be checked out for a week at a time.
Audiobooks may be checked out for a week at a time.
When the library is closed, books may be returned in either book drop: by the front door or in the box behind the library. DVDs should be returned to the book drop by the front door.
We reserve the right to ask anyone to leave who makes our patrons or employees feel uncomfortable. Failure to comply will result in consultation with law enforcement
