Our Library Staff

Library Director Stephanie Riddle is an Oak Hill graduate who recently returned to the Grant County area after living in southeastern Indiana, Wisconsin, and New York. She was a middle/high school English teacher for over twenty-five years and looks forward to this new career close to family and her hometown of Sweetser. Her favorite authors include Jasper Fforde, Frederik Backman, and Cecelia Ahern. Stephanie may be reached at swaypub@swayzee.com

Assistant Librarian Theresa Doyle has been a Swayzee resident since 1976. All four of her children are OH graduates. She retired from Marion General Hospital in 2010 where she had been an Obstetrics/Women’s Health Nurse for twenty-two years and the hospital’s librarian for fifteen years. One fall day six years ago when she came to the Swayzee Library to check out some books, Dana Melton and Heather Butler asked her if she would like a part-time job. At the time, she already had a part-time job, but she felt this offer was meant to be. And the rest is history! Best job in the world!

Lisa Boswell, our Library Assistant, is a small town girl who has lived in Swayzee her whole life. She and her husband and three sons are all Oak Hill graduates. All eight of her grandchildren attend(ed) Oak Hill. She was previously employed here at the library over thirty years ago when her youngest son started kindergarten. Over the years, she has served on the library board. After retiring from OHJH as secretary in 2022, it was mentioned at a board meeting that the position was open. Like Theresa, it was her dream job and she happily returned in January 2025. If she’s not reading, you will find her most nights on the bleachers somewhere watching her grandkids play sports.
