Our Library Staff

Library Director Stephanie Riddle is an Oak Hill graduate who recently returned to the Grant County area after living in southeastern Indiana, Wisconsin, and New York. She was a middle/high school English teacher for over twenty-five years and looks forward to this new career close to family and her hometown of Sweetser. Her favorite authors include Jasper Fforde, Frederik Backman, and Cecelia Ahern. Stephanie may be reached at swaypub@swayzee.com.

Julie Hoch is a Library Assistant who graduated from Oak Hill High School. She previously worked at the Grant County Courthouse and Health Department. Later, she worked as a secretary at Converse Elementary before retiring. She works part-time at the library and loves helping patrons and reading children’s books. Julie has written columns and articles for various newspapers for over thirty years. She continues to write for Heartland magazine and the Kokomo Tribune. She loves all kinds of authors who write children’s books, but her favorite children’s author will always be Dr. Seuss.

Assistant Librarian Theresa Doyle has been a Swayzee resident since 1976. All four of her children are OH graduates. She retired from Marion General Hospital in 2010 where she had been an Obstetrics/Women’s Health Nurse for twenty-two years and the hospital’s librarian for fifteen years. One fall day six years ago when she came to the Swayzee Library to check out some books, Dana Melton and Heather Butler asked her if she would like a part-time job. At the time, she already had a part-time job, but she felt this offer was meant to be. And the rest is history! Best job in the world!
